DESCRIPTION:A conference dedicated to Black women in medicine\, The NEXUS C
 onference 2024 will help ABGH be the vanguard organization to enrich the p
 athway for more Black women physicians\, researchers\, and medical profess
 ionals. Black women in medicine comprise only 2.8% of the physician workfo
 rce\, less than 0.8% of academic full professors\, and are historically un
 der-mentored and under-sponsored. ABGH is here to change that. The NEXUS w
 ill bring hundreds of physicians\, researchers\, and medical professionals
  together to build community\, address obstacles Black women face in their
  journey to thrive in medicine\, and work collectively with allies and ind
 ustry to disrupt the status quo and make the field of medicine more equita
